The other photo I bought long ago on Hollywood Blvd. was this, a large black and white photo of the most important musician in my life. I rarely see either of these two shots online, so I finally got around to scanning and posting them. Hope you enjoy.
Okay, Beach Boys fans, here are the best I’ve got. Almost 25 years ago, I went into a store on Hollywood Boulevard. You could name any movie, actor, singer or entertainer and the employees would bring out a box of stuff related to that act. There might be scripts, promo photos, clippings, whatever. I asked to see the Beach Boys stuff and ended up buying two photographs. This one is from October 31, 1970, the Halloween recording session which resulted in “My Solution.” Some of the guys got into the spirit of the occasion by dressing up; Mike Love actually did not dress up, he always wore this kind of stuff. The guy in the mask is not Dennis, as one might think, but Billy Hinsche. The other mask is empty.
Limited edition print which hangs on my wall. Most folks don’t know who it is…but the important ones do. Pretty good representation of Brian.
